Lake Studies and Projects
Past and Present
The Schroon Lake Association currently pays for an annual lakewide milfoil survey and for chemical sampling and analysis of the lake water by our Lake Manager, Steve LaMere, of Adirondack Ecologists. From time to time other studies are undertaken as needed. In 2009/10, for instance a phytoplankton sampling and analysis was performed. Under the direction of our Lake Manager, Schroon Lake Association volunteers also collect biological samples from 16 sites in the lake several times each summer.
